Training Camp. Will Bodde turn up this time?
By: Tom | July 2nd, 2009After the Swedish training camp was cancelled many thought Swans would stay at home but Sousa has pulled some strings and is taking the boys back to his homeland for a week of intensive training. It is reported that the training will be doubled in a bid to brush away those post-season cobwebs. Garry Monk and Guillem Bauza are fit again after injury and Painter who was back early for rehabilitation is now clear of the cruciate ligament problem that cost him last season. Bodde again is silent over his future but Jordi Lopez is in talks with the board over a contract. On the back room staff side of things, Australian fitness coach Harbin is set to sign from QPR adding to the pairing of Bruno Oliveira and Paulo Sousa. Things are so very slowly shaping up despite no signings and the potential for a fire sale. Cannot wait for the season to start so I know who we have and who do not because silly season is taking it’s tole on fans and players alike.

Greetings, South Welsh stablemate. Reckon Sousa will continue with Martinez’s ‘is it a 4-3-3, is it a 4-5-1′ system? Depends largely on the fire-sale you mention I suppose.

Hi,Well I think it depends on who we have left by the start of the season. He played 4-5-1 at QPR so I think he would continue that here. My worry is that if we loose Bodde then we are a little light on quality, but Joe Allen is capable of doing the job and we played half most of the season witout Pratley and Bodde and Gomez didn’t get into the team until Bodde was injured. I think the Lopez deal might help soften the blow of Gomez going too but I shall have to wait and see.
