Swansea 3-0 Leeds in a word, EASY
By: Tom | February 26th, 2011
Before I start I have a lot of respect for Leeds as a club, fantastic fans who sung from start to finish. But today we absolutely destroyed United. In my opinion that wasn’t even our best performance yet we made it look so, so easy. I haven’t seen the penalty shout from Leeds yet but from where I was sat in the stadium it looked like it came off his chest, though apparently it was a handball? aside from that I felt Leeds offered nothing going forward and we were content to pass it round the Leeds midfield: When Dyer, Sinclair and Dobbie had the ball they teared the Leeds defence to minuscule pieces. I felt Leeds were rattled and the persistent fouling could have cost them a red or two. I’m not one to gloat, but it was quite simply a dry bumming! I think we are not only auto contenders but are TITLE contenders!10 goals in 4 games and 4 wins on the bounce for a hard working, beautiful passing side who can tear up defences and score goals!
The Jacks are going up!

It was a definite penalty mate, stuck his hand out, could have changed the game. Having said that I thought, Dobbie, Dyer and Sinclair. Your defence looked solid, and we struggled with playing four in midfield. One of best performances against Leeds this season, congrats to you lot.

Meant to say that Dobbie Dyer and Sinclair were outstanding.

thanks mate, it was difficult to see in the stadium but if it was a pen, then fair play would have changed the game. good game and the leeds fans were quality.

They always are mate, don’t often get to go away but season ticket holder at home and it’s an amazing atmosphere every week. You boys have a real chance of automatic now, I think an 8point gap is too much for us. McCartney couldn’t handle Dyer.

I think Leeds still have enough to solidify a playoff spot especially with the goals you have in the squad,I don’t think this game will knock you guys too much, because to be fair most teams get played off the park down here at the Liberty week in week out. I think away form will be the key for you guys though. you need a good run going into the final few games. I think this win meant alot to us today especially as Leeds are a good side and beating you has sent a big message to QPR, sCumdiff and Forest that we are in it.

We need a ball winner, Kilkenny is too weak and we are too attacking. I love all the goals but we can’t keep them out. We have a chance like everyone but when we play like we have done the past two games, we aren’t doing ourselves any favours. We need to mix it up a bit and rest some players for once, like Pratley today I expected him to start.

At the moment we only play Pratley away as he is more defensive than playing Dobbie behind Moore. That is the strength of our squad, we left him on the bench and were still able to control midfield. I think where we are sucsessful is that we work harder in midfield than everyone else. we are a possesion football side but we also know that to play like we do, we need the ball in the first place. If you look at our midfield, Allen,Britton, Sinclair, Dyer are all around 5″6 yet they are all good in the tackle and they run themselves into the ground to win the ball back. I think teams aren’t used to that level of intensity. We are similar to Barca in that respect we have players like Xabi and Iniesta, small but tireless.
